Jose Mourinho has firmly denied reports that claim Petr Cech has asked to leave Chelsea – labelling such suggestions as ‘Mickey Mouse’ stories.

Cech has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the coming months after losing his starting place to Thibaut Courtois following the Belgian’s return from his loan spell at Atletico Madrid in the summer.

With his future thought to be uncertain, Chelsea’s London neighbours Arsenal were claimed to be close to securing Cech’s signature this winter while AC Milan have also emerged as contenders for the 32-year-old in recent days.

However, Blues boss Mourinho has now rejected the notion that the goalkeeper could be on his way out of the west-London outfit in January after saying such reports lack truth.

When asked about stories claiming Cech is keen to leave Chelsea in search of regular first-team football, Mourinho said: ‘In which Mickey Mouse website? In which Mickey Mouse blog?

‘I promise what I’m telling you is the truth. On my desk – and normally all information arrives at my desk – I have zero proposals.

‘At this moment “news” is coming every day, every minute, every second – some news on some website, I don’t know where they get the news.

‘In this moment Cech is our goalkeeper. He has a contract for two more years and is a fantastic professional.

‘Not once has Petr Cech knocked on my door to inform me about his desire to accept some proposal. That is the truth and there is nothing more I can say.’
