Exclusive. From the latest X Factor goss ala Simon Cowell to Ella Henderson’s ‘secret friend,’ what Chris Brown is really like in the recording studio and more: Capital’s Max brings it all to you in her latest blog for Metro.
The X Factor is back and in full swing! I caught up with the charming Simon Cowell, who told me what it was like working with Cheryl again, he said: ‘We like working together me and Cheryl. If you actually argue with someone it’s a sign you like them, erm so we must really like each other!’
Adding: She’s great and she’s really passionate about her talent. I like people who want to win. I think that’s what it’s all about. I think she’s made some pretty dodgy decisions so far. There’s a few people who she should of put through and she didn’t. She’s gonna have her work cut out!”
Elsewhere, Ella Henderson – who has just hit the top spot with her debut album – dropped by and revealed that although she has a boyfriend (Matt Harvey), there is another thing she likes to keep close to her in bed – her teddy bear.
She said: ‘I’ve got a bear that travels the world with me, and it’s got a little dressing gown on it. Whenever I get into a hotel room, he sits on the bed right in the middle and it’s really stupid, but I always get a badge from whatever country I’m in and pin it on to him, so it’s like he’s travelled all the world now.’
The other week was a special one. We raised over £1.1 million for Global’s Make Some Noise, our new national charity helping to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Thank you to everyone who donated!
Mr. Probz, one of the biggest new artists of the year and voice behind incredible summer anthem Waves, spoke to me about working with Chris Brown, he said: ‘He is easily the most talented person I have ever been in the studio with. Ever.
‘What he did, I was so amazed by the talent, the raw talent. For me it takes a while to finish and perfect a song. While we were in the studio he was like, “I’m gonna be the fastest one you ever saw in the booth.”
‘Everything that he had to do, he just knocked it out within half an hour. This guy is like an alien or something! He’s a real humble dude.’
He went on to tell me that he had originally approached Chris at a party in LA just to thank him for tweeting about Waves, and before he knew it, Chris was offering to work with him on a remix! He said it was more than he ever could have wished for.
Catch you all in a couple of weeks,
