Sheep making their way across London Bridge wasn’t a metaphor for city workers today, it actually happened.
If that wasn’t bizarre enough legendary Welsh comedian Griff Rhys Jones showed up to add his wit, although it wasn’t needed as the situation was humorous enough.
The 60-year-old seemed in cahoots with the owners of the sheep who had been pulling the animals along on red leashes.
‘A man walking his sheep over London Bridge this morning. As you do,’ tweeted Anita Klein, who was on hand to take a picture.
The carry on at London Bridge turned out to be in aid of the Dylan Thomas Festival, which celebrates the life of the Welsh poet, and takes place from 27 October – 9 November.
Jones, who organised the event, had been the chief instigator and was driving the sheep towards Fitzroy Square.
