When my daughter was born I was adamant she wouldn’t be limited by gender stereotyping (yes, I am a bit of a middle class w*nker, thanks for noticing.) We dressed her in white, we dressed her in blue, we dressed her in yellow. Clothes with dogs and rockets on them. There was a light sprinkling of pink in the mix. Ah, they’re £100, OK, right, I see. Hmm. 3. Topshop definitely wasn’t this expensive when I was a teenager. There’s no way my mum would have forked out £100 for a coat. 4. OH MY GOD A T-SHIRT WITH A […] Read more →
GBSB judge Patrick Grant is perfection (Picture: BBC) With Bake Off dead and buried for another year The Great British Sewing Bee celebrity special has come at the perfect time. And while the first batch of celebs – Hairy Biker Dave Myers, DJ Edith Bowman, Coronation Street’s Wendi Peters, and Embarrassing Bodies’ Dr Dawn Harper – seemed to be at one with the sewing machine (yes, even Dave Myers) it was judge Patrick Grant’s latest creation that stole the show.
