Andrea McVeigh, 44, says the collision left her in the hospital, and is offering £2,000 for any information leading to the cyclists arrest. Soft tissues were discovered inside a fossil by Imperial College researchers (Picture AFP) ‘Dinosaur blood’ has been found inside a fossil, in a find which could revolutionise our understanding of the lizards which once ruled our planet. Researchers from Imperial College London have found ‘fleshy’ remnants that have some similarities to red blood cells and collagen fibres – preserved inside a 75 million-year-old fossil. Sadly, or perhaps luckily, we won’t be able to use the fibres to clone any dinosaurs – while the soft tissue has survived, DNA hasn’t (it only lasts 500-odd years).
