Tom Cleverley looks unlikely to play in a Manchester United shirt again – after putting his custom-engraved club watch up for sale.

A pawnbroker in Blackpool advertised the Hublot watch – which has Cleverley’s name and United squad number of 23 engraved on the back – on social media following the midfielder’s loan move to Aston Villa this summer.

The pawnbroker is said to be selling the unique timepiece for £17,500 and advertised the watch on Twitter, describing it as an ‘individual and special piece.’

Cleverley has featured in five games for Villa this season after having escaped from the negativity he felt he was receiving in Manchester, particularly during David Moyes’ disappointing season in charge of the club last term.
